A Curious Space: Leadership, Culture and Teams
About
Kate and Maddie are two coaches who met, quickly realised they were enthusiastic ranters about the same things and equally incurable book lovers, and decided to make a podcast about it. They're drawn to the same things in organisations, the infuriating, the funny, and the genuinely brilliant, and share a belief that being more human at work isn't soft or optional, it's how people and organisations actually thrive.
Meet Kate
Kate Nicholroy is a coach and facilitator, and the founder of The Good Ideas Agency. She helps leaders and teams build cultures where people, and the organisations they work in, can genuinely thrive.
Having worked across L&D, HR, innovation and transformation, Kate is as comfortable with the systems and structures of an organisation as she is with the messier, more human dynamics playing out inside them. She's a systems thinker at heart, forever spotting the patterns underneath how things really get done, and a lover of a good model (ask her about the iceberg, or the elephant and the rider, and settle in). She's also a relentless reader who tends to arrive at every conversation with a book she's currently obsessed with. She trained at Henley Business School and the Academy of Executive Coaching, and holds advanced coaching accreditations from the EMCC and ICF.
Above all, Kate believes that being able to show up fully as yourself at work shouldn't be a privilege, it should be the point. It's the thread that runs through her coaching, her facilitation, and the conversations she has with Maddie on the podcast.
Meet Maddie
Maddie Fox is a coach and facilitator who works with leaders, founders and teams on the human side of how organisations really work. She spent years inside HR and people teams before going out on her own, so she's seen up close how change actually lands, how culture forms in the small moments, and how often the official version of "how we do things here" differs from the lived one.
As a somatic coach trained at the Strozzi Institute, Maddie brings an embodied lens to her work: noticing not just what people say, but what their bodies are doing while they say it, and helping leaders stay present and above the line when the pressure's on. She's a natural connector, an enthusiastic ranter about the things that make work worse than it needs to be, and a genuine optimist about the things that make it better.
When she's not coaching or co-hosting the podcast, you'll find her deep in a book (she's rarely without one), and still quietly proud of the triathlon.
She is the founder of MadFox Group.
